Glasses Case and Cleaning Cloth: Kazimir Malevich, Suprematist Composition
Malevich (1878-1935) was the leading early modern artist in Poland, but became also highly influential in Germany and around the world. With his practical and theoretical works in geometry, colour and form, he also had an enormous impact on philosophers and literature theorists.
Suprematist Composition (1916)
This is a key painting, today in a private collection, where Malevich was moving from spacial art into more and more abstract forms so that he even ventured to display monochrom art objects.
