Beswick Parastone shaped art vase Escher Birds & box

How can a business like that of a successful artist and potter like James Wright Beswick go out of business? It is a bit of sad story, that the J.W. Beswick pottery manufacturer, founded in the year 1892 by James Wright and his sons John and Gilbert close to the capital of pottery and porcelain making, Stoke-on-Trent. Unfortunately, they sold the business in 1969 to Doulton and Co., but they stopped making Beswicks wonderful figurines, and in 2004, the business was sold again. At least very few of his marvellous designs are continued, but how would it be, if the Beswicks could still enjoy us. Here, you have got the chance, as we have combined these wonderful designs with new artistic inspirations, in this case M.C. Escher.

M.C. Escher, The Birds

produced in the year 1938 with India ink, colored pencil, watercolor. As the Escher foundation looks after the artist's estate, this is a fully licensed and official product.

You will enjoy this extraordinary vase for surely extraordinary people.
