Throughout history annular earrings were often worn by sailors who had sailed around the world or had crossed the equator. Myth also suggest that sailors wore engraved gold hoop earrings so they can be identified should they die in a shipwreck and to serve as payment for a proper burial should their bodies wash up on shore. Nowadays earrings have become more of a fashion statement rather than functional and centuries have altered and moulded the perception and style of  wearing jewellery.
This dazzling pair of rhinestone hoops from the collection "Majestic Pearl" was inspired by the jewellery from the House of Hohenzollern. The use of numerous rhinestones by Hohenzollern jewellers can be seen in the image of William II of Prussia's imperial crown. The lustrous rhinestones set on the earrings bring out the beauty and exquisite design giving the earrings a classic, elegant flair. Already encased in gift packaging, this pair of earrings make for a wonderful present for yourself or for loved ones.

House of Hohenzollern
The House of Hohenzollern was the dynasty which the reigned the Kingdom of Prussia and the German Empire. The influence of the House of Hohenzollern stretched from Brandenburg to Prussia and into Romania. No wonder, therefore, that this powerhouse provided electors, kings, princes during their reign of the Prussian Kingdom and the German Empire. It was only after WWI their empire crumbled, the emperor was removed and Germany developed into a democracy. Although less known today, the family still exists and lives on.
