Queen Louise of Prussia
Duchess Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1776-1810), as the wife of King of Prussia Frederick Wilhelm III, was a Queen consort of Prussia. She was mother of the future King of Prussia Frederick Wilhelm IV and of the future German Emperor Wilhelm I. The contemporaries call she the lady of a generous nature and "the soul of national virtue", after her effort to negotiate with Napoleon I at Tilsit, to plead for more favorable terms after Prussia's disastrous losses in the Napoleonic Wars.
Part of her long-term legacy was her early death at the age of thirty-four, that "preserved her youth in the memory of posterity". Also Napoleon noted after her death, that Prussia had “lost the best minister”. Yellow sun earrings from the jewellery collection “Louise”
The lovely Grace of Queen Louise (1776 - 1810) trasmits her most famous portrait painted by Josef Grassi of 1802. It can be seen in Charlottenburg Palace, which was one of her favorites places. Prussian ''Queen of Hearts'' has a beautiful brooch, which inspired our jewelery collection ''Luise'' with this elegant emerald earrings. The whole collection consists from noble earrings (in the various colors), a beautiful bracelet and a necklace in the colors of clear crystal, emerald, amethyst and yellow sun.
It is an elegant and precious gift from Berlin.Details
