Delightful earrings belonging to the Solitaire Collection, one of the cutting edge development of technology, design and beauty. Nylon was long seen as a typical product of the 70th of the 20th century, yet, it had come to the market already shortly before WWII. And as one of the latest inventions, it was quickly used by avantgard artists, such as the constructivists in Russia, and particularly by Naum Gabo. As an emigree, he also introduced the material into art in England where it created an entirely new understanding to deal with matter and space. One of the great artists, heavily influence by Gabo's string sculptures was Henry Moore, but also Barbara Hepworth produced string sculptures. Now, it has been re-invented, combined with new 3D printing technology by designer artists Nitz & Schieck who, in Berlin develop their state of the art designer jeweleries, here these great earrings.
As you will see, these earrings come in a wide range of colours, they are very light, strong and flexible, a material that can resist pressure while being bent. The surface is slightly porous and has a granular look. Short contact with water does not harm the material or colour, bu to maintain the high quality of your product, please avoid contact with saltwater, soap and excessive exposure to sun.
They come with nickel free, gold plated hooks.
