Greek Helmet Pencil Topper

The Corinthian helmet originated in ancient Greece and took its name from the state of Corinth. It was a helmet made of bronze and was used by the Greek Hoplite soldiers.

The Iliad is an epic poem attributed to Homer. Set in the Trojan War it tells of the battles and events during the weeks of a quarrel between King Agamemnon and the warrior Achilles.

This Greek helmet is made from pewter and is mounted on black pencil. The pencil it printed with text taken from the Iliad 'The God of war is impartial: He hands out death to the man who hands out death.'
