Pencil "Queen of the Day"
With the pencil "Queen of the Day" every woman will feel as a Queen. This pencil can be a beautiful gift for someone or for yourself, with ironic intent, but also with the historical motive and will remember you your beautiful visit to Berlin and the Prussian palaces. The pencil is decorated with a pencil topper in form of the small queens crown from the famous Prussian royal jewels.
The Prussian Crown Jewels
The royal regalia "Prussian Crown Jewels" consist of two crowns, an orb and a sceptre. They were used during the coronation of the Prussian monarchs from the Hohenzollern dynasty. Since the foundation of the German Empire in 1871, the King of Prussia became German Emperor, and although these regalia were still remaining, they were no longer used as the position of King of Prussia, while it was a title of minor importance compared to the new role as German Emperor. Since that time the Prussian crown existed only in the heraldic version, because the German Empire did not use the crown.
In contrast with the lavish, heavily bejewelled crowns of other monarchies, like British, Russian, the Prussian crown jewels were sometimes described as "rather plain", what you see also on this pencil.
