Prussian Crown Jewels

Most monarchs of the Prussian empire hailed from the House of Hohenzollern. The Crown Jewels consisted of two crowns, an orb and a sceptre, and were used during the coronation of the Prussian kings and queens. The crowns belong to King Frederick I and his Queen consort Sophie Charlotte while both the royal orb and the sceptre belong to King Frederick I. All four royal regalia are on public display in the Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin.
William II (Wilhelm II in German) was the last Emperor of Germany and King of Prussia. He ruled from 1888 until the end of World War I in 1918. His crown, the Crown of William II, is also known as the Hohenzollern Crown. After his abdication and exile in the Netherlands in 1918, William II was permitted to keep possession of the crown and other jewels. Today the Crown of William II rests within the walls of the Hohenzollern Castle in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
