Picture Frame, Gustav Klimt Stoclet Frieze

Picture Frame, Gustav Klimt Stoclet Frieze

This photo frame is a piece of art in itself. It is based on the Klimt's design created for the famous Beethoven Frieze at the Palais Stoclet in Brussels, a villa built entirely in the style of the Vienna Secession.

UNESCO Heritage

Since the year 2009, the still privately owned family home of the Stoclet family, the Stoclet Palace has been inscribed by UNESCO into the list of World heritages. Indeed, the house and palace goes back to the financier, banker and art collector Adolphe Stoclet. He also brought the house to fame when he commissioned one of the chief architects of the Wien (Österreich) Secession members, Josef Hoffmann, to create an aesthetic Gesamtkunstwerk for his palace. And, indeed, in 1905, he gave full financial support to the plan. The house and garden were finished six years later, 1911, and while the house itself looks like remodern building of the 21st century with its academic geometrical and austere outlook, also refashioning the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modern Movement in architecture, the Stoclet House is one of the icons of the Wien Aristic movement of the time. Not only the building is great (unfortunately not to visit, as it is still privately owned and inhabited), but it contains most famous works by Gustav Klimt and Koloman Moser.

If you want to bring some style of the Art Nouveau and the Vienna Secession of Klimt into your home, here is the perfect way to accomplish this, simply order one or more of the picture frames, made according to the Klimt design.
