A classic rose-scented soap for a nourishing and lasting care for your body. The mild,
long-lasting fragrance of roses invite you to dream and relax while caring for your skin. This rose fragrant soap belongs to our "Royal Flowers" collection and is packaged in an attractive gift box with a silk ribbon.

The design on the gift box is an excerpt from the still life painting "Still Life with an arrangement of various flowers", a masterpiece of the well known sculpture and painter Gottfried Wilhelm Völcker, which hangs in Charlottenburg Palace, Berlin.

Gottfried Wilhelm Völcker

He received his training as a porcelain painter at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin by his famous teacher Johann Friedrich Schulze in the early 19th century. He specialised in flower paintings, but was later promoted to becoming the director of the whole porcelain factory (1833-1848). His art works focus on porcelain paintings but he also painted naturalistic pictures of flowers and fruit still life in oil and watercolor. Already in 1811, Völcker became a professor and was awarded membership of the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin and joined the Berlin Artists Association (1814-1846). His works show influence of his tours to Vienna in 1821, Paris in 1823 and the Netherlands in 1825. He exhibited regularly with the Berlin Academy, but his biggest success were his porcelain creations.
