In 1485 Henry Tudor defeated the Yorkist Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth in a famous fight, not like a pirate, but with honesty of a future king. York had to pay a high price: Henry VII became King of England. The medieval Henry VII adopted the Tudor rose badge, often seen at the queen's clothing, even in her jewelry or other accessories, conjoining the white rose of York and the red rose of Lancaster. The Tudor dynasty outlasted the gothic period for 118 years and it only finished in 1603 when Queen Elizabeth I died.

This pewter key-ring with a chain is a quality jewelry reproduction of a Tudor Rose.
