The most famous medieval bridge of Germany (and perhaps of Europe) is the Krämerbrücke of the medieval city of Erfurt. It is a small bridge over the river Gera, and it is entirely enclosed by 4 story medieval merchant houses with lovely arts and food shops and buzz of people from around the world. As during the medieval period, it is one of the magnets for tourists and travellers, you can sit there in tiny wine shops, cafes, eat extraordinary and exotic ice creams or enjoy the singing of choirs, musicians, fringe theatre performances, or just watch the sky that is squeezed between these medieval merchant houses. As then, when the bridge was exempt from stamp duty tax, even today, the shops are somehow subsidised by the city council which allows artists and special craftspeople to run their shops with delightful goods and very special offers.
We are glad to support these artists by selling some of their very unique products on our artsinhistory shop. In a real partnership between these artists, craftspeople and our team, we choose the best of their products which give you an idea of what you can get there, when you visit the town of Erfurt.
Here, particularly, we offer the gem of the jewellery artists from the Kraemerbruecke, Schmuck & Design, with their ring that celebrates the location where they work in the midst of the city of Erfurt. You will not find this bespoke product anywhere else (unless you visit this marvellous town yourself).
The ring is made of full Sterling Silver, 925/000
